Established in the 1960’s S.I.P.A. S.p.A. has produced high quality c.a.c. poles for medium and low-tension aerial lines to a range of clients.
During this period S.I.P.A. S.p.A. has expanded and consolidated its market position by producing c.a.c. poles for every ENEL Local Department in Italy, and supplying long lasting reliable products for the whole country.
Located in the historic town of Benevento, 265km s.s. Appia, our production facility covers over 7000m2 of indoor space and has a total surface area of 53000 m2 of land.
We have recently updated all our equipment and production machinery so that we are aligned with current environmental rules and legislation, whilst expanding our production capabilities.
Currently S.I.P.A. S.p.A. is Italys leading producer of c.a.c. poles for medium and low-tension aerial lines, with a production capacity of about 32.000 poles/year over two work shifts.
We have developed a new production process for a hybrid pole design composed of a c.a.c. section and a pressed steel sheet extension that permits a taller form factor of up to 18 metres. This innovation is more cost-effective than using just steel and has proved particularly successful as a result.
In 2012 S.I.P.A. S.p.A. invested in the construction of a new department dedicated to the production of precast reinforced concrete Cabins for electric equipment, according to ENEL specifications.
Cabin production was expanded to include a range of products that provide a much greater level of flexibility for deployment. This new line has been introduced in order to respond to modern energy efficient forms of power such as photo-voltaic and wind-energy and we can reach by full production capacity 200 units/year.
